“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” - Steve Jobs

The people Steve Jobs is describing are the ones who are not playing to avoid losing. They are the ones who are playing to win. They are the ones who are ignoring many of the voices of others and listening to the voices within themselves. They are the ones who can reach far beyond what others can’t even imagine.

So ask yourself:

  • Do you remember when you were a kid and you knew you could do anything and become anyone you wanted to?
  • How could you bring this feeling back into your adult life?
  • How could you be when playing to win instead of playing to avoid losing?
  • What would be different if you were playing to win?
